  • You can create an account that lets you create accounts for your students. You can create lists and assign them to your students.
  • Tip: A random password is generated when student accounts are created. They are difficult to remember so should be changed. If you or your students forget the students password, you can reset it to generate a new password.
  • There is no charge for creating accounts and no personal information is collected. Do not forget your password because there is no "Forgot Password" function and we cannot reset your password.
  • You can form connections to your students either through creating their accounts or if both agree to form a connection. A connection will allow you to reset their password if they forget it. It will allow you to assign lists and also see their saved practice results.
  • You can enter spelling and vocabulary lists for your class and name each list. It may be helpful to enter the lists so that students do not misspell words and then practice incorrect spellings.
  • The system assigns them a unique number that you can give to your students to practice.
  • You could use these numbers to create a web page of spelling lessons for your class.
  • The name might indicate your name and which spelling or vocabulary list this is. e.g. Ms. Jones 3rd grade - 5th spelling list. The name is a double check for the student to know they are practicing the correct list.
  • There are a large number of audio files available. Words that are entered in lists but do not have a corresponding audio file will be reviewed to prioritize creation of new audio files. If you have special requests please send contact us by using the feedback page.
  • When you enter a vocabulary list, the system lets you eliminate any definitions you do not wish to include with your list. These choices apply only to this particular list.
  • You can enter your own definitions for words that are not in the system yet or if you prefer a different definition than is available. These definitions apply only to this particular list.
  • Contributed definitions will be reviewed periodically and may be adopted for general use if deemed appropriate.
